Job DescriptionAccount Executive, MediaThe Account Executive, Media is a key contributor in driving the company's business, responsible for overseeing the execution of high-impact client media campaigns while delivering top-notch customer service.The ideal Account Executive, Media is organized, precise, curious, and strategic and has deep executional expertise across a broad range of media channels and continually seeks ways to expand business with existing and prospective clients with a strong desire to learn and grow within a best-in-class media agency. JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as primary point of contact for clients, nurturing client relationships across all interactions (written, verbal, face-to-face) through proactive communication and timely follow-up; maintains pulse on client satisfaction
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of client business model, metrics, short/long-term goals, competitive landscape, media budgets and campaign timelines
  • Develops strategic and comprehensive media plans tailored to client budgets and goals to optimize media spend; makes ongoing media recommendations to drive growth
  • Oversees end-to-end media plan execution including plan finalization, campaign setup, creative advisory, print production (where applicable), creative asset delivery, tracking, and troubleshooting
  • Ensures client histories and status reports are consistently updated and accurate
  • Maintains continuous pulse on campaign results and proactively identifies opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Owns client meeting preparation and follow-up including recommendation for meeting strategy, gathering relevant data and presentation materials, as well as drafting the presentation to tell the campaign story
  • Negotiates effectively to secure best opportunities, media rates (and production, where applicable), and other added value on behalf of clients
  • Ensures completion of client paperwork including credit applications for new business and media contracts for campaign placements
  • Continually grows expertise and knowledge of media channels, vehicles, programs/publications and networks/platforms, identifying new opportunities and ensuring a first-to-market scenario.
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with clients, external business partners and internal stakeholders
  • Prepares and distributes monthly and quarterly client dashboard and trend reporting, internally and externally
  • Timely and accurately supports client billing and accruals, providing backup documentation, research, and support to troubled billing with reconciliation and problem resolution
  • Makes recommendations and drives continuous improvement to increase efficiencies and productivity
  • Manages and mentors direct reports and ensures new team members are trained effectively
  • Completes ad hoc projects as needed

    • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing concentration required
    • 5 - 10 years of media industry experience with an agency or marketing department
    • Management experience required
    • Excellent negotiating skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to think on your feet
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize requests, multi-task and meet tight deadlines for self and direct reports
    • Extremely high attention to detail
    • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail; well-organized
    • Strong skills in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Friendly, high-energy, team-focused, and can-do attitude
