Job Description:
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and
outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital,
Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern
Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers
Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty
care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a
leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices.
Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the
Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and
the Home Care organizations.
Summary:
The videographer/photographer is a visual storyteller who
collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team to showcase
Nuvance Health's competitive advantages, enhance the patient
experience and highlight workforce initiatives through the creation
of impactful video, photography, and multimedia content. The
position requires a solid background in video/audio shooting,
editing, and production for various channels including, but not
limited to the website, social media platforms, intranet, and other
online communities.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with members of the Marketing & Communications team to
develop videos and digital assets aligned with the strategic goals
of Nuvance Health.
- Serves as the in-house photographer for headshots, staff and
special events, marketing collateral, etc. Responsible for
shooting, editing, and organizing/storing images.
- Performs full production of multimedia content from approved
concept to final output and archiving. This includes storyboarding,
scheduling, directing talent, capturing video and audio, importing
media, designing and inserting static or motion graphics, editing,
adding music/voiceovers/sound effects, working with content
creators, encoding, and delivering finished projects within given
time frames.
- Produces serialized content and video packages for internal
clients.
- Creates animated openers, bumpers, lower thirds, and other
graphics consistent with Nuvance Health brand guidelines.
- Manages all film production equipment, in-house studio, and
video archives.
- Interacts with associates/interviewees before and during
productions, to reassure, guide, and coach for optimal on-camera
performance.
- Adds, edits and updates digital content for Nuvance Health
channels including website, email, patient TV, and social media
ensuring proper tone and brand guidelines are followed.
- Produces and manages digital media content including images,
animations, videos, audio/podcasts, and photos, and optimizes media
files to enhance user experience and brand.
- Monitors and stays informed on visual content production and
delivery trends.
- Ensures search engine optimization (SEO) best practices are
employed in all assets to promote high search engine
rankings.
- Manages photography requirements and photo/video library and
archives for Nuvance Health.
- Graphic design skills are a plus.
- Communicates and collaborates with outside production vendors
or talent as needed.
- Maintains a positive attitude while managing multiple projects
that deliver high-quality assets on time and on budget.
- Self-driven, flexible, high-energy individual. The role
requires frequent travel between CT/NY locations and after-hour
events, on occasion.
- Represents Nuvance Health values and serves as a Nuvance Health
representative and ambassador.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years digital media/video production
experience OR an Associate's degree and 5 years of digital
media/video production experience OR equivalent.
- A strong understanding of videography and photography,
including shooting, editing, and producing digital
video/photos.
- Excellent communications skills; excellent computer skills; the
ability to work independently and efficiently on concurrent
projects; the ability to develop and maintain strong working
relationships with internal staff and outside
partners/vendors.
- Advertising agency and healthcare experience are a
plus.
