Manager Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the office day-to-day operations.
- Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting for
dealership.
- Manages the main office to ensure effective telephone, mail and
in-person communications.
- Working with department managers as an integral part of our
dealership operation
- Accurate management of the general ledger and preparation of
financial operating reports and sales tax returns
- Full Charge Automotive Bookkeeper and understanding of
accounting principles
- Hiring and directing dealership's support staff
- Train various office staff positions
- Monitoring all jobs within the office for accuracy and
completion
- Daily posting
- Schedule Maintenance
- Factory communication
- Meeting Month End Deadlines
- Financial Statement Preparation for multiple franchises
- Providing Corporate Controller with reports as requested
- Monthly Resolution of all reconciliations prepared by corporate
office
- Interaction with all dealership managers as well as assisting
them when necessary
- Strong willingness to adhere to established policies and
proceduresAutomotive Office Manager Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years continuous and verifiable experience in a
similar position at an automobile dealership
- Previous Ford or import experience is a plus
- Understanding of all functions in the accounting office of an
automobile dealership
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of automotive
computer software
- Knowledgeable in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet time sensitive
deadlines
- Must be very detailed oriented
- Enjoys mentoring and leading a team, but also willing to be
hands on
