We currently have an immediate opening for a dynamic Property Tax Accountant to join our talented tax team in Danbury, CT. Our team is made up of over 19 tax professionals who bring a wealth of tax knowledge, experience and exuberance to everything we do. We work together with Treasury, Corporate Accounting and other Linde business groups. We are dedicated to minimizing time spent processing tax filings and enhancing the professional growth of our team members. Property Tax Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare renditions related to large industrial plants and pipelines, work with assessors & Operations to minimize valuations, and process tax bills.
• Responsible for the application and maintenance of abatement incentives related plants.
• Work on tax planning projects as they relate to property tax and emerging energy markets
• Subject matter expert to billing for customer questions related to property tax pass through.
• Oversee desk audits and first level of appeals, make recommendations on pursuing further appeals.
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (Advanced degree is a plus)
  • 7+ years of property tax experience with emphasis in industrial/manufacturing or oil & gas industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling centrally assessed property would be beneficial for this position.
  • Must be comfortable using key technology for this position, PTMS or similar property tax software, advanced excel skills including v:looks and formulas, various data warehouse tools, and BOTS.
  • Knowledgeable about abatements, incentives and enterprise zones and how they affect property tax filings
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Good written and verbal communication
