SENIOR ANALYST - GLOBAL WAGE & COMPENSATION REPORTING - RemoteThe primary function of the Senior Analyst - Global Wage & Compensation Reporting is to support Relocation accounting Payroll Reporting, and International Compensation Services Reporting. The Senior Analyst will serve as a technical resource for their team portfolio while ensuring customer and client needs are met in a timely and efficient manner through delivery of Top Block service. The Senior Analyst will also be the first point of escalation and problem resolution, and will support necessary activities for new client implementationsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and audit Client Reporting including Payroll, Compensation Balance Sheets, Certificates of Coverage, and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Reporting
  • Understand the concepts of payroll processing including client specific payrolls, split payrolls, goods and services spendable, social taxes, hypo taxes, and gross up calculations
  • Independently manages to deadlines and deliverables
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Word and Excel including V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Interpret client policies and apply benefits based on the policies
  • Interact with Client and internal departments on technical issues as they arise; serve as a liaison with internal Cartus departments to ensure effective working relationships
  • Liaise with Cartus International Assignment Consultants to initiate, update and cease assignment allowances for international assignees. Also, serve as a second level escalation of payroll instruction form Payroll Instruction Form (PIF) issues
  • Understand and explain as needed to client contact, compensation analysts, and Cartus consultants, fluctuations of exchange rates and index and how that affect the cost of living allowances
  • Prepare and maintain the Compensation Accumulation Tool (CAT) and tracking tool and update mappings as needed
  • Assists in client portfolio financial management including Advance management and reconciliation, vendor escalation and resolution, post pay Financial Audit Module (FAM) audits, Tax and Wage set up, data integrity
  • Coordinate year-end process with client, Cartus, tax providers and prepare all necessary reports, presentations, job aid documents, timelines, and authorization lists. Monitor progress throughout the year-end cycle and handle all communication and queries coming from tax providers or other internal departments
  • Build complex calculations used for the automation of our deliverables and understand and write SQL statements needed for the automation of our deliverables
  • Serves as technical resource for the team portfolio, including troubleshooting policy questions/issues, relocation accounting policies and procedures, including working knowledge of Apro system
  • Provides on-the-job technical training for team, including client specific training, to ensure Top Block service is provided to customers, processes are efficient, and standards are met
  • Assists customers with questions pertaining to their payroll updates and year-end packages including fielding Relocation Accounting hotline calls and customer service questions
  • Participates in special projects, trainings and other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS/SELECTION CRITERIA:
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (Accounting, Economics, Math, International Business, Human Resources Management) or similar work experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel required
    • Demonstrated abilities to lead and motivate
    • Proficiency with RAS, OER and ATLAS, with a thorough understanding of the tax implications associated with relocation
    • Proficiency with Apro system
    • Preferred SQL coding and VBA knowledge with ability to write macros
    • 2-3 years' experience in customer oriented industry preferredKEY DIMENSIONS:
