Job Description:
Job Description The Assistant Controller is responsible for
working closely with the Controller in safeguarding assets and
ensuring accurate, timely recording and reporting of all
transactions by monitoring disciplines of internal audits,
controls, and checks across all departments. The ideal Assistant
Controller is precise with a high level of attention to data
accuracy and timely reporting to support business decisions. JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES Mentor, train, and supervise the Accountant and
Bookkeeper, ensuring all deliverables are executed on time, with a
high degree of accuracy Ensure staff is utilizing all available
tools and resources to optimize execution of daily, weekly,
monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables Manage the accuracy and
productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash
disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections,
inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity
accounting and cost accounting Manage the month-end closing
process, continuously improving the issuance of monthly, quarterly,
and year-end financial records in accordance with company timeline
Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals
Utilize and make recommendations for continuous improvement of
financial analysis tools to evaluate projects, programs, capital
expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary Manage
commercial banking relationships to facilitate credit under highly
competitive terms Evaluate and ensure assets are not unnecessarily
encumbered with personal guarantees or unrealistic commitments Work
closely with Human Resources in the development and economic
evaluation of various employee benefit programs Be the liaison with
outside audit firm(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability
insurance agent(s), credit card companies, and collection agencies
Establish and nurture strong internal and external relationships
with vendors and partners with timely, proactive communication and
follow-up Continually grow finance expertise and knowledge,
identifying new opportunities and continuous improvement activities
for the Finance department Provide timely and proactive
communication to Finance leader, including consistent deliverables,
meeting recaps, program updates, and all other relevant client
Finance deliverables Timely supports external and internal audits

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor---s degree in Finance; CPA / MBA a plus 5
years in an assistant controller role required, preferably within
advertising, marketing or agency, media agency experience a plus
Demonstrated experience at calculating figures and amounts for all
bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis, and
probability statements Possess a high-level discretion and
confidentiality in all presentations/ correspondence and
communication for staff Excellent written and verbal communication
skills Proven success in balancing and managing fast-paced
deliverables with internal and external stakeholders Independent,
with a demonstrated ability to prioritize requests, establish
workflow procedures, multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and deliver
on assigned objectives Process-driven with extremely high attention
to detail Quantitative mindset, with the ability to perform
numerical analyses Advanced QuickBooks experience Proficient in
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) Advanced Excel
skills required; Data Analytics, Access experience a plus Friendly,
high-energy, team-focused, and can-do attitude a must Company
